A dynamic downtown must draw people to it, and arts and entertainment options are among downtown's strongest attractions. Downtown Wichita is full of multiple venues for people to view and express art. From the many museums and art galleries, venues for both the stage and the screen, as well as the countless night clubs, downtown Wichita is the place to be for having fun.

Museums

Downtown Wichita is where you'll find exhibits, shows, collections and expressions to inspire and entertain. With more than 50 museums and art galleries in Downtown Wichita, you can explore many worlds, all from here. Consider a stop at these primary attractions, but be sure to look here for a complete listing of downtown's museums and galleries. Botanica, The Wichita Gardens - Open year-round, Botanica has seasonal flowers, educational opportunities, community events, sculptures, waterfalls and fountains.
Coleman Factory Outlet & Museum - The store features a small museum that celebrates the company's more than 100 years in business. It all began when W.C. Coleman began manufacturing lamps. Vintage Coleman products are on display.
Exploration Place - Kansas' premier science center with hands-on exhibit areas for all ages plus the state's largest digital Dome Theater and Planetarium.
Great Plains Transportation Museum - View a wide assortment of railroad equipment, artifacts and memorabilia. Board the Santa Fe steam Locomotive #3768 and Santa Fe FP45 Diesel #93.
Kansas African American Museum - The Kansas African American Museum is the premier place where the community can come to learn about or tell the Kansas African American story.
Kansas Sports Hall of Fame - Museum dedicated to preserving the history of sports in the state of Kansas. The museum provides exhibits, archives, facilities, services, and activities to honor those individuals and teams whose achievements in sports brought distinction to themselves, to their communities and to the entire state of Kansas.
Mid-America All Indian Center - An American museum dedicated to the history and culture of Native Americans, specifically focusing on the Plains Indians of the U.S. and Canada.
Museum of World Treasures - Experience treasures from around the world and through the ages at one of Wichita’s top-rated attractions.
Old Cowtown Museum - Cowtown is a living history museum where you’ll experience life in the 1870s. Immerse yourself in a sampling of the sights, sounds and activities common to a Midwestern cattle town.
Wichita Art Museum - As the largest art museum in the state of Kansas, the Wichita Art Museum houses one of the country’s finest collections of American art, spanning three centuries of painting, sculpture, works on paper, and decorative arts.
Wichita-Sedgwick County Historical Museum - The museum's mission is to educate the community and its visitors about local history by collecting, preserving, and interpreting materials reflecting the heritage of Wichita and Sedgwick County.

Nightlife

Downtown is the place in Wichita to party. Enjoy nightclubs that range from traditional pub-style bars, jazz clubs, dance clubs with the crowd, atmosphere and energy to please a variety of ages and lifestyles. When you're in the mood for live music you'll find country, rock, jazz, bluegrass, folk ... Wichita's growing music scene offers concerts and rotating regular acts appearing in area clubs and restaurants.

Cabarret Old Town - "Where Wichita Comes to Laugh", a delightful and delicious place to enjoy featured shows, perfect for a group outing, corporate seasonal gathering or any person ready for musical hilarity!
Century II Performing Arts & Convention Center - In 2009 Century II celebrated its 40th year as the center of performing arts in Wichita. Century II is one of the city's primary landmarks with its dramatic circular architectural style. Located in the middle of Downtown Wichita its role is both an entertainment attraction and a vital economic center for the community.
INTRUST Bank Arena - The INTRUST Bank Arena is a modern, state-of-the-art sports and entertainment venue, perfect for concerts and conventions alike. Located in the heart of downtown Wichita with trendy restaurants, shops and eclectic entertainment options nearby, the INTRUST Bank Arena is the premier arena in the Midwest. The arena features 22 suites, 40 loge boxes, 300 premium seats with a total 15,000-seat capacity and will boast the top notch sporting events and entertainment with the industry's best acoustics and sound system.
Mosley Street Melodrama - Reviving the 40-year tradition of Melodrama in Wichita, Mosley Street Melodrama takes you back to the Old West where the villians abound and heroes save the day.
Music Theatre of Wichita - Enjoy critically acclaimed original musical revues and live celebrity concerts. MTW is the largest subscribed non-profit arts organization in the state of Kansas and has been described as one of the nation’s top ten summer theatres. Performances are held at Century II.
The Orpheum - The Orpheum Theatre represents one of the finest remaining examples of atmospheric school of theatre architecture that developed during the early 1900's. It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Located at the corner of 1st and Broadway, the theatre offers an eclectic schedule of classic film series, live performances and is available for private events.
Old Town Warren  - The OldTown Warren Theatre offers five luxurious auditoriums with today's latest releases. Movie goers are able to order concessions, food and drinks with push-button service from their theatre seats.
Wichita Grand Opera - In its seventh season the Wichita Grand Opera offers glorious music, drama, and dance. The highly praised performances annually draw capacity crowds.
Wichita Symphony Orchestra - Founded in 1944, the Wichita Symphony Orchestra is one of the oldest arts organizations in Kansas. Approximately 84 musicians regularly play in the orchestra on a part-time basis. The mainstay of the orchestra's annual activities is the 8-concert Classical subscription series. Other programs include the Pops concerts, a "Blue Jeans" concert and two special, free, citywide presentations – The Family Holiday Concert in December and the Koch Industries Twilight Pops Concert in May.
